BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 14. The figure for the number of passengers arriving at Türkiye's Gaziantep Airport in December 2024 increased by 13 percent compared to the same period in 2023 and totaled 2.9 million people, Trend reports via Türkiye's Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
According to the Ministry, in December 2024, the airport's passenger traffic on domestic flights increased by 13 percent compared to the same period in 2023 and reached 2.5 million people, and on international flights, it increased by 141 percent and amounted to 380,810 people.
The airport's cargo traffic in December 2024 stood at 29,515 tons, an increase of 11 percent over the same period in 2023. The airport's cargo traffic on domestic flights increased by 12 percent compared to the same period in 2023 to 22,079 tons, and cargo traffic on international flights increased by 7 percent compared to the same period to 7,436 tons.
The information indicates that the number of flights from the airport in December 2024 increased by 11 percent compared to December 2023 and equaled 25,490. At the same time, the number of performed flights on domestic flights increased by 14 percent and amounted to 22,964, and on international flights, it decreased by 9 percent and totaled 2,526.
The passenger traffic at Turkish airports in December 2024 totaled 220.9 million people and cargo traffic 4.9 million tons.
To note, in 2023, the passenger traffic at all Turkish airports stood at 117.9 million people and cargo traffic at 2.4 million tons.
