By Huseyn Valiyev - Trend: In January-September 2013 some 73,641 mobile phones and other devices operating on wireless networks (tablets, cordless phones, etc.) were imported to Azerbaijan, State Statistics Committee of the country told Trend on Nov. 13.
The mobile devices were imported for a total of $3,317,400.
According to the committee, the number of imported mobile phones in Azerbaijan fell by 35.56 per cent compared with the same period of 2012. In the same period of 2012 the country imported 114,277 mobile phones.
This index also in value terms fell by 40.68 per cent.
On the average Azerbaijan imported over 8,100 mobile phones monthly.
Monthly volume of the mobile phone market exceeded $368,000 in value terms.
