ASTANA, Kazakhstan, March 5. Kazakhstan banned the export of oil products outside the customs territory of the EAEU (Eurasian Economic Union), Trend reports.
The joint order published by the Ministry of Energy, the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan, and the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan sets the ban in effect from March 15 through June 30, 2025.
The restriction applies to the following types of petroleum products: light distillates; jet fuel; diesel fuel; gas oil; toluene; xylene; and bitumen.
The Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan imposed a six-month ban on exports of oil products, including to EAEU countries, in February 2025. The document is open for discussion on Kazakhstan's Open NLA (Normative and Legal Act) portal until March 20.
