BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 27. Azerbaijan exported over 130,600 tons of crude oil and oil products derived from bituminous rocks to the UK from January through February 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Customs Committee indicates that the revenue from this export reached $73.4 million.
During the preceding fiscal year, there was a complete absence
of export activity pertaining to these specific commodities from
Azerbaijan to the United Kingdom within the corresponding
timeframe.
In aggregate, Azerbaijan's outbound shipments to the UK encompassed
approximately 659,500 metric tons of crude oil and derivative oil
products in the fiscal year 2024, with a market valuation of $396.1
million.
The aggregate export throughput of crude oil and petroleum
derivatives originating from bituminous formations in Azerbaijan
culminated at approximately 4.8 million metric tons, translating to
a fiscal valuation of around $2.7 billion during the January to
February 2025 timeframe.
