ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 29. The Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan has announced a tender for the construction of new generating facilities as part of a project to build a 2,640 MW condensing power plant in the city of Ekibastuz, Trend reports.
The new facility will operate on solid fuel and is part of the
country’s program to expand its energy capacity.
The tender is being conducted in accordance with Clause 3 of
Article 15-6 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Electric
Power Industry,” and based on the Tender Rules approved by Order
No. 110 of the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan
dated February 20, 2015.
Applications for participation in the tender will open on April 25, 2025, at 09:00 Astana time and will close on May 12, 2025, at 15:00 local time. The Ministry invites potential investors to actively participate in the competition.
The construction project aims to enhance the country’s energy security and create additional opportunities for industrial growth and sustainable development.
