BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 12. The volume of trade operations between Azerbaijan and Serbia reached $50.2 million from January through March 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Customs Committee indicates that this figure represents an increase of $42.4 million, or 6.4 times more than the same period in 2024.
Trade turnover with Serbia accounted for 0.42 percent of Azerbaijan's total foreign trade turnover during the reporting period.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan exported goods worth $46.5 million to Serbia in the first quarter of 2025. This is $41.9 million, or ten times more, compared to the same period in 2024.
Azerbaijan's imports from Serbia amounted to $84.8 million from January through March 2025, showing an increase of $500,000, or 15.6 percent year-on-year.
In general, Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover from January to March 2025 increased by more than 24.3 percent, reaching $12 billion.
The country's exports rose by 6.7 percent, or $401.75 million, totaling $6.4 billion, while imports increased by 52.6 percent, or $1.9 billion, amounting to $5.7 billion.
Meanwhile, the foreign trade balance showed a positive surplus of $722.9 million during the reporting period, which is $5.1 billion, or 3.1 times less than the same period last year.
