BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 26. Banks in Azerbaijan reported a net profit of 430.7 million manat ($253.3 million) from January through May 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank indicates that this
signifies a contraction of 17.1 percent relative to the
corresponding timeframe in the previous fiscal year.
The financial services industry's operational yield experienced a
contraction of 3.3 percent, culminating in a total of 708.2 million
manat ($416.5 million).
In the interim, financial institutions remitted 109 million manat
($64.1 million) in profit taxation during the initial quintile of
2025, reflecting a marginal increase from the 107.4 million manat
($63.1 million) recorded in the corresponding timeframe of the
preceding fiscal year.
