Kiev During the briefing meeting with Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko in Kiev, Mr. Topolanek said transit of Russian gas to Europe could be resumed within 36 hours, RIA Novosti reported.
Last night the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Gazprom Alexey Miller announced the company's readiness to start supplying the minimum amounts of gas to Ukraine. By the words of Mr. Miller, Russia will not delay the increase of the amount supplied, in case no violations from the Ukrainian side are reported.
