Baku-based flour producing company Karmen is planning to expand its exports to countries in the region, a source at the company told Trend.
According to the source, the company's goods are planned to be supplied to Iran and Georgia.
"Since early 2019, the company has supplied small volumes of flour to the markets of these countries, and next export volumes are planned to be supplied in the coming months. On these markets, there is a demand for our first and second grade flour, so we expect to increase the volume of deliveries. Flour is exported in 20 and 50 kilogram packages. The highest grade flour is in high demand. The cost of 50 kilogram packaging of premium flour is 25 manats. Flour of the first grade, also exported in 50 kilogram packages, is sold for 23 manats," the source said.
The source noted that the company also produces break flour at the price of 4.6 manats per 20 kilogram packaging, which is sold on the domestic market for baking bread with bran.
The company's products are in great demand in the domestic market and are not stockpiled in warehouses.
The company uses German, Turkish and Italian equipment in production.
