ASTANA, Kazakhstan, July 3. Kazakhstan's Sauran district of the Turkestan region launched production of agricultural drones, Trend reports, citing the Turkestan regional administration.
According to the report, the new high-tech project is being implemented as part of the “Small Industrial Park” program, aimed at promoting industrial development and attracting investment to the region.
During a working visit, regional Akim (Governor) Nuralkhan Kusherov visited the small industrial park and reviewed both current and future projects. He emphasized that the region’s priority remains the creation of new production facilities and jobs. According to him, every building in the industrial zone should be used efficiently. If facilities remain idle, they will be offered to other investors and entrepreneurs.
“One of the key projects has been the launch of a facility by AVATAR Agricultural Technology Development, with whom an agreement was signed earlier this year to build a plant for producing agricultural drones. The Chinese investor has already begun supplying specialized equipment and has completed adapting the building for production purposes. In the future, the factory’s products will be distributed across all regions of Kazakhstan,” the statement said.
In the course of his visit, the Akim also toured other enterprises in the park, including agricultural machinery and furniture production, as well as a proposed project for assembling heating boilers. Entrepreneurs expressed gratitude to the administration for the support and conditions provided.
The small industrial park is expected to continue expanding and become a key platform for launching new investment initiatives.
The project is valued at $5 million, with a production capacity of up to 600 drones per month. The facility will be highly automated, with a significant portion of operations performed by robots.
