BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 21. Iran’s Foreign Minister rejects new US pressure measures as doomed to fail.
Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi made a post about this on his X social network account today.
“14 years ago: ‘Most crippling sanctions in history.’ Failed.
8 years ago: ‘Maximum pressure.’ Failed.
5 months ago: ‘Unconditional surrender.’ Failed.
Today: ‘Most crushing economic operation ever.’ Bound to fail.
We have seen this movie before. Same bull. Different bullies,” he wrote.
Araghchi stressed that previous attempts to force Iran into submission through sanctions and pressure campaigns have consistently failed, and the latest measures will meet the same fate.
Meanwhile, tensions between Iran and the United States remain high following the months-long conflict that began with US and Israeli airstrikes on February 28. A peace memorandum was signed between the two countries on June 18 under Pakistani mediation, but talks on a final agreement have faced repeated difficulties amid mutual accusations of non-compliance and continued pressure.
