Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend I.Khalilova / The Transport Ministries of Azerbaijan and Iran reached an agreement on the opening of a permanent bus route; Baku-Nakchivan-Baku, which will pass via the territory of Iran, said the Chief of Azerbaijan Transport Ministry's Department for Transport Policy and Economy, Sadraddin Mammadov, on 22 August. The memorandum on this was signed on 21 August in Baku during the visit of the President of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, to Azerbaijan.
"We reached an agreement with the transport service of Iran that will, within a month, determine the routes in Iran," Mammadov said.
Two bus stops have been appointed in Azerbaijan - Astara and Bilasuvar. Accordingly the Iranian side should also appoint two routes.
In addition, Mammadov said that the same number of buses may be directed from both sides per day.
