Black Oil & Petrol Reserves Increase in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan, Baku 18 February / Trend / The Azerbaijani State Committee reported that the consumption total of black oil in Azerbaijan made up 256,900 tons in 2007, which is 6.8% less compared to 2006. Major black oil consumers consist of power stations and industrial enterprises.

In January the petrol reserves totalled 12,100 tons (2.4% less compared than January 2006), diesel fuel 10,500 tons (5% more compared to January 2006), kerosene 12,000 tons (1% more compare to January 2006), coal 4,300 tons (38.7% more than January 2006). Major consumers of petrol, diesel fuel, kerosene and coal are enterprises of the transport sector.

In 2007 some 4.518.2bln cu m of gas and 1,015,400 tons of black oil was used at the electricity and thermo-power stations for electricity production. As a result of the reconstruction and upgrade work, 352.8g of conventional fuel was used in average for the electricity production in 2007.
