ASTANA, Kazakhstan, September 14. Kazakhstan’s QazAvtoJol (national company) has received loans amounting to $206 million from January through June 2024.
The data obtained by Trend from QazAvtoJol’s financial report indicates that the company has received more than 1.01 trillion tenge ($2.11 billion) of loans from international financial organizations.
In particular, the QazAvtoJol has received 722.6 billion tenge ($1.5 billion) from the Export-Import Bank of China, 179.9 billion tenge ($374.8 million) from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, 63.9 billion tenge ($133.1 million) from the Asian Development Bank, and 47.1 billion tenge ($98.1 million) from the Eurasian Development Bank.
Meanwhile, the volume of Kazakhstan's external debt amounted to $162.5 billion as of April 1, 2024. Since the beginning of 2024, the amount of debt has decreased by $200 million.
Since the beginning of 2024, external debt has decreased due to value, exchange rate, and other changes by $500 million, with an increase in balance of payments transactions by $300 million.
