TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, September 10. Uzbekistan exported apples worth $7.8 million abroad from January through July 2024, Trend reports.
Data from Uzbekistan's Statistics Agency shows that the export volume of the fruit amounted to 23,600 tons.
Among the countries where Uzbekistan exported the largest amount of apples are Kazakhstan - 16,900 tons, Russia - 4,400 tons and Kyrgyzstan - 2,000 tons.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan totally exported 1.2 million tons of fruit and vegetables worth $792.3 million from January through July this year, marking an increase of nine percent compared to the same period last year (1.1 million tons).
Russia accounted for the largest volume of horticultural product exports from Uzbekistan, with a total volume of 468,300 tons worth $343.9 million.
Pakistan ranked second with 94,700 tons of the exports worth $121.4 million, followed by Kazakhstan with 378,700 tons of horticultural products worth $121.4 million.
