BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 29. Iran has seen a significant increase in the production of machines used in road construction and mining complexes in the nine months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through December 20, 2024), said Director General of the Agricultural Machinery and Construction and Mining Office in Iran's Ministry of Industry, Mines, and Trade, Abuzar Jamshidvand, Trend reports.
According to the official, the production has risen by 15 percent compared to the same period last year (from March 21 through December 21, 2023).
Jamshidvand noted that a total of approximately 3,700 machines used in road construction and mining complexes were produced during this period.
Jamshidvand also highlighted that around 4,700 such machines were produced last year (from March 21, 2023, through March 19, 2024).
"The nation is targeting the fabrication of 5,000 units within these industries throughout the ongoing Iranian fiscal year (spanning from 20 March 2024 to 20 March 2025)," he said.
Additionally, the official mentioned that over the course of the nine months, Iran exported road construction and mining equipment worth around $3 million.
Iran continues to focus on utilizing domestically produced equipment and machinery for road construction and mining operations within the country, with growing production in these sectors.
