The export of cars from Turkey to the world markets decreased by 10 percent from January through March 2020 compared to the same period of 2019 and amounted to $6.9 billion, the Turkish Ministry of Trade told Trend.
The export of cars from Turkey made up 16.3 percent of the country's total export volume of goods from January through March 2020.
“In March 2020, Turkey exported the cars worth over $2 billion to the world markets, which is 28.5 percent less than the figure in the same month of 2019,” the ministry said.
The export of cars from Turkey in March 2020 amounted to 15.4 percent of the country's total export volume.
Over the past 12 months, from March 2019 through March 2020, Turkey exported the cars worth $29.8 billion.
