BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 8. Azerbaijan imported a total of 3,152 containers in 2024.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Committee indicates that the total expenditure on importing these containers amounted to $7.6 million.
These indicators represent an increase of 2,146 units, or 3.1 times more in quantity, and a rise of $4.2 million, or 2.3 times more in value compared to the same period last year. In 2023, the import value of the 1,006 containers brought to Azerbaijan was $3.4 million.
This year, Azerbaijan received containers from a wide range of countries, including Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, the United States, Australia, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, China, Afghanistan, India, Indonesia, South Korea, Norway, Pakistan, Singapore, Türkiye, Germany, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Spain, Italy, and the Netherlands.
In addition, Azerbaijan exported 50 containers during this period, with an export value of $220,000.
