BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 3.​ The amount of non-performing loans in Azerbaijan reached 480.1 million manat ($282.4 million) from January through February 2025.

Data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan indicates that this figure marks an increase of 5 million manat ($2.9 million), or 1.1 percent, compared to the beginning of February this year.

Moreover, the total volume of non-performing loans has grown by 10.9 million manat ($6.4 million), or 2.3 percent, over the past year.

Despite the increase in non-performing loans, the share of overdue loans in the total credit portfolio (including non-bank credit organizations (NBOs) and credit unions) has decreased by 0.28 percentage points compared to the same period last year, standing at 1.63 percent.
