BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 17. Azerbaijan carried out container turnover with twelve countries, totaling 1,752 containers valued at $3.7 million from January through May 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Committee indicates that this figure is $1.7 million higher in value terms, 1.8 times more, and 978 units greater in volume terms, representing an increase of about 2.3 times compared to the same period last year
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan exported 27 containers worth $78,740 to six countries during the reporting period. This represents a decrease of $97,290, or 2.2 times in value terms, and 13 units, or 1.5 times in volume terms, compared to the first five months of 2024.
In the same period, 1,725 containers valued at $3.6 million were imported into Azerbaijan from ten countries. This marks an increase of $1.8 million or nearly 2 times in value terms, and 991 units, or 2.3 times in volume terms, compared to the corresponding period of last year.
