BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, September 2. The value of market services provided in Kyrgyzstan (by legal entities and individuals) amounted to 633.2 billion soms ($7 billion) from January through July 2023, Trend reports.
The State Statistical Committee’s data shows that this figure increased by 12.9 percent compared to the same months in 2022. The value of services provided to the population amounted to 381.998 billion soms ($4.3 billion).
The majority of market services were provided in the city of Bishkek, totaling 359.343 billion soms ($4 billion), of which 169.967 billion soms ($1.9 billion) were provided to the population.
Following closely is the Chuy region with 81.626 billion soms ($924 million), of which 54.602 billion soms ($618 million) were provided to the population. The value of market services increased in all regions of the country.
The value of market services provided by economic entities of Kyrgyzstan in 2022 amounted to 1.187 trillion soms ($13.4 billion), which represents an increase of 7.1 percent compared to 2021.
