BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, July 8. Kyrgyzstan plans to complete and commission the K-Neft Kyrgyz&Turk oil refinery at the end of September 2024, Trend reports.

According to Kyrgyzstan's Ministry of Energy, this was announced during Energy Minister Taalaibek Ibraev's visit to the K-Neft Kyrgyz&Turk oil refinery.

General Director of Kyrgyztransneftegaz Aibek Chodonov informed the minister about the ongoing and completed work at the refinery.

To date, more than 90 percent of construction work has been completed, and remedial and preparatory work is underway at 4 oil wells.

The total amount of investment for the project is $91 million. The total number of employees is 51 (including 10 Turkish specialists, 41 citizens of Kyrgyzstan). A total of 150 workplaces will be created in October 2024.

Meanwhile, the construction of an K-Neft Kyrgyz&Turk oil refinery with a capacity of 500 tons per day in the Batken region is being carried out within the framework of the project for the joint development of the Northern Sokh and Chongara-Galcha oil fields.

Earlier in March 2023, Kyrgyztransneftegaz and K-Neft Kyrgyz&Turk signed an agreement on joint activities for implementation in order to implement the project of joint development of the Northern Sokh and Chongara-Galcha oil fields.
