The volume of industrial products and services in Baku increased by 0.7 percent in 2019 and amounted to 39.7 billion manat ($23.5 billion) compared to 2018, Trend reports referring to Azerbaijan’s State Statistical Committee.
Some 80.7 percent of products were manufactured in the mining industry, 17.2 percent in the processing sector, 1.5 percent in the production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and steam, 0.6 percent in the water supply, treatment and processing sector waste.
The share of the private sector in industry amounted to 83.4 percent, industrial products - 88.5 percent in total, and industrial services - 11.5 percent.
As of January 1, 2020, there is a stock of finished goods worth 230.6 million manat ($135.6 million) in the warehouses of industrial enterprises.
Products worth 75.9 million manat, are also in the warehouses of industrial enterprises, purchased from other enterprises and intended for sale.
