Along with its development Azerbaijan helps Georgia, Azerbaijani Presidential Administration Social and Political Department Chief Ali Hasanov said at a two-day conference "Azerbaijan - the twentieth year since the restoration of national independence", which began in Batumi Sunday on the occasion of 20th anniversary of Azerbaijan.
"The Azerbaijan Republic, state officials, and citizens are all concerned about the development of Georgia. They are also interested in the welfare of Azerbaijanis residing in Georgia, as well as all citizens of this country," Hasanov said.
Attending the event were Chairman of State Committee for Diaspora Nazim Ibrahimov, Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) Elmira Suleymanova, MP Ganira Pashayeva, Musa Gasimov, and Gular Ahmedova. Georgian State Minister for Diaspora Affairs Mirza (Papuna) Davitaia and governor of Kvemo-Kartli region David Kirkitadze, Consul General of Azerbaijan to Batumi Hussein Najaf are also participating in the conference.
