Turkey's Foreign Affairs Ministry urged its citizens to refrain from traveling to Egypt, the Ministry's report, released on its website said on Monday.
Turkish Foreign Ministry also warned its citizens in Egypt on the necessity of taking additional precautionary measures and not to attend the protest sites and the places that are dangerous for citizens of foreign countries.
Two Turkish journalists were detained by the Egyptian security forces in one of the country's prisons for two days. One of them was released yesterday.
The journalist of Anadolu agency Metin Turan is still being held in prison.
The Turkish journalists were covering the clashes of Friday of Wrath, when due to the increasing violence they were forced with hundreds of protesters to take refuge in Fateh Mosque in central Cairo at Ramses Square.
By evening of August 17, security forces carried out an operation to clean the mosque of the protesters. Dozens of people were taken out the mosque on special transports, many of them were detained.
Last Wednesday, the Egyptian army launched a crackdown on the ousted President Mohamed Morsi's supporters, who were carrying out demonstrations. The army was using military equipment and firearms during the dispersal.
As a result, about 2,800 civilians were killed in Egypt from Wednesday to Saturday.
The leaders of Muslim Brotherhood claim that nearly 2,000 people were killed and about 15,000 civilians were injured during the dispersals of demonstrations.
