The volume of work of all Azerbaijani construction companies amounted to 1.679 billion manat in January-July, the state statistics committee said.
About 1.129.1 million manat (67.3 percent) of total construction work fell to primary operations, renovation and expansion; 349.1 million manat (20.8 percent) to basic repair work; 84.5 million manats (5 percent) to the current repair work; 116.3 million manat (6.9 percent) to other construction work.
During this period, construction work amounting to 1, 218.1 million manat was conducted by private construction companies, but 460.9 million manat by state ones.
According to the committee, the average monthly nominal wage of workers in construction sector amounted to 444.4 manats, but 495.7 manats in large and medium construction companies in the first half of 2009.
