Lankaran Canning Factory operating in Azerbaijan’s Lankaran District is developing a production line for the production of a new type of pickles, the enterprise told Trend.

According to the source, this includes the production of pickled tomatoes.

“At present, a new production line is under development. It is planned to be completed closer to the end of the year. We intend to expand our product range and increase sales by opening new lines. The products are intended for sale on the domestic market. We are planning to arrange exports next year. According to our calculations, these may involve the countries located in the region," the enterprise said, having also noted that the plant also produces various fruit drinks and fruit juices.

"We expect to expand the range of these types of products, given the growing demand in the market. Products are sold for reasonable prices, in the range of 1.50-2 manats. In addition, the company produces canned vegetables and tomato paste, which are also sold on the domestic market," the enterprise said.

The products have a certificate of conformity issued by Azerbaijan’s State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents.

The factory uses equipment of Italian production.
