Manufacturing of various vehicles in Iran increased by 4.7 percent, during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of the Iranian Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade.
According to the statistics, Iran manufactured a total of 651,408 various vehicles in 8 months. Meanwhile, in the same period last Iranian year, the figure stood at 622,144.
Iran has manufactured 594,473 passenger cars within the mentioned period, which is an increase of 5.2 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year. Passenger car manufacturing accounted for 91.2 percent of Iran’s total auto manufacturing for 8 months.
“Moreover, 49,220 pickups were manufactured in Iran over eight months, which is a decrease of 6.8 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year,” the statistics said.
Within 8 months, Iran also manufactured 6,255 trucks and trailers, which is an increase of 96.8 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
According to the statistics, Iran has manufactured 555 minibusses for the reporting period. This is an increase of 2.4 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
At the same time, 415 buses were manufactured in the country, which is 25.5 percent less than the same period last Iranian year.
In addition, Iran manufactured 490 vans in 8 months, which is 156.5 percent more than in the same period last Iranian year.
“Meanwhile, in the 8th month of the current Iranian year (October 23 through November 21, 2021), Iran manufactured 90,894 various vehicles. This is 27 percent more than in the same month last Iranian year,” the statistics said.
