bp, SOCAR discussing ACG deep gas production parameters

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 5. bp and Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR are discussing the technical and commercial parameters of extracting deep gas in the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) block, said bp Vice President for the Caspian region, Communications and External Affairs Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli, Trend reports.

"In principle, the drilling of an appraisal well has been completed, and the data interpretation is essentially finished. We are in discussions with SOCAR regarding development, as well as commercial, and technical matters. By the end of the year, we will have a clear understanding of the issue," he said.

BP Exploration (Caspian Sea) Limited is the operator on behalf of contractors under the ACG Production Sharing Agreement.

The participating interests in ACG are as follows: bp (30.37%), SOCAR (25%), MOL (9.57%), INPEX (9.31%), Equinor (7.27%), ExxonMobil (6.79%), TPAO (5.73%), ITOCHU (3.65%), ONGC Videsh (2.31%).
