Azerbaijan calculates its domestic oil output volume for first half of year

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 11. Azerbaijan produced 14.4 million tons of oil (including condensate) from January through June 2024, compared to 15.2 million tons in the same period in 2023, Trend reports.

According to the country's Energy Ministry, the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) field block produced 8.2 million tons of oil in the first six months of 2024, compared to 9.1 million tons in the same period of 2023.

SOCAR's oil production (including condensate) amounted to 3.8 million tons, up from 3.9 million tons.
Shah Deniz Field produced 2.1 million tons of condensate, compared to 2.2 million tons in the first half of 2023.

The figure for condensate from the Absheron field amounted to 0.3 million tons. Production in the field started in July 2023, so comparative data is not available.

Azerbaijan is forecast to produce a total of about 30 million tons of oil and condensate in 2024, the same as in 2023.
