Turkmenistan's enterprise surpasses bread and bakery production plan

ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, April 4. The 'Kerki' bread-baking enterprise in the Lebap region of Turkmenistan, fulfilled the plan for the manufacturing of bread and bakery products by more than 71 percent from January through February this year, Trend reports.

According to an official source, the company produced bread and bakery items worth approximately 2.26 million Turkmen manat ($646,000) over the defined period, which is more than 71 percent greater than the targeted figure of around 1.32 million Turkmen manat ($377,000).

Overall, the enterprise produced 6,321 tons of bread and bakery items in 2023, which is 2.2 times (3,551 tons) higher than projected. During the stipulated period, it produced products over 11.7 million Turkmen manat ($3.04 million).

Recently, Turkmenistan has seen remarkable growth in the baking business, aided by an aggressive state effort to promote agriculture.

The introduction of contemporary technology and infrastructure improvements contribute to increased production capacity, higher product quality, and a wider choice of bakery products.
