BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 18. The value of industrial production in Uzbekistan from January through September 2022 amounted to 391.9 trillion soums ($35.5 billion), which is an increase of 24.5 percent compared to the same period of 2021 (314.8 trillion soums, or $28.5 billion), Trend reports referring to the Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
The value of production of the mining industry for the corresponding period amounted to 38.2 trillion soums ($3.5 billion), which is an increase of 28 percent compared to the same period last year (29.8 trillion soums, or $2.7 billion).
During this period the value of production in the manufacturing industry increased by 24.3 percent compared to the same period in 2021 (261.3 trillion soums, or $23.7 billion), reaching 324.8 trillion soums ($29.4 billion).
From January through September 2022 the value of production in the field of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning reached 26.8 trillion soums ($2.4 billion).
