TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, January 18. The number of Uzbek tourists visiting Türkiye amounted to 229,300 in 2024.
According to the data obtained by Trend from Uzbekistan's Statistics Agency, this figure has increased by 22.1 percent year-on-year.
The most common reasons for tourists from Uzbekistan to visit Türkiye were leisure (174,102 people), visiting relatives (46,656 people), medical purposes (4,116 people), studying (2,711 people), and business purposes (1,671 people).
Meanwhile, the number of Uzbek tourists visiting Türkiye reached 214,200 from January through November 2024. This indicator has increased by 22.2 percent over the year.
The most common reasons for tourists from Uzbekistan to visit Türkiye during this period were medical purposes (3,811 people).
