The Investigation Service of the Georgian Ministry of Finance issued a statement in connection with the interrogation of Nika Gvaramia, Alexander Khetaguri, Kakha Damenia and Devi Kandelaki.
"Former Minister of Energy and Finance Alexander Khetaguri, former Minister of Justice and Education Nika Gvaramia, former Deputy Minister of Economy, entrepreneur Kakha Damenia and "Telasi" company director general Devi Kandelaki were questioned as witnesses within the investigation over transferring $1 million in June 2012 to a false-company allegedly created to provide energy companies with consultative services," the investigation service said.
The interrogation is underway.
