BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 13. The Iran Energy Exchange announced the sales figures for the previous Iranian week (October 5-9), with total sales reaching 58.5 trillion rials (approximately $133 million), Trend reports.
Last week, a total of 139,000 tons of energy resources valued at 52.2 trillion rials (around $118 million) were sold on the exchange. Out of this, 48,700 tons of energy resources worth 13.2 trillion rials (approximately $29.8 million) were traded on the domestic section.
Meanwhile, about 126,000 tons of energy resources, worth 39 trillion rials (approximately $88.4 million), were sold on the international section of the exchange.
Additionally, 1.9 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity valued at 2.61 trillion rials (around $5.92 million) were transacted on the Iran Energy Exchange.
The sale of hydrocarbon products on the Iran Energy Exchange plays a crucial role, as it allows Iran to meet the needs of domestic companies while also boosting its exports.
