A strong earthquake of magnitude 6.1 struck northeast India's Assam region on Wednesday, according to Reuters citing the US Geological Survey, Trend reports citing Sputnik.
The quake's epicenter was located approximately 70 miles (113 km) northwest of the town of Dibrugarh, at a depth of 18.6 miles (30 km), according to the report.
European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) also reports a magnitude 5.9 earthquake in the contested Arunachal Pradesh region. According to the EMSC, the epicented was located 41 km northwest from the city of Aalo at a depth of 10 km.
China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC) reports a magnitude 6.3 earthquake in Tibet region.
