NATO integration remains a priority of Georgia, and everything will be done to ensure that the progress in this direction doesn't stop, Georgian leader Mikheil Saakashvili said during the meeting with NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen on Monday, the press service of the Georgian President said.
The meeting between Saakashvili and Rasmussen was held in Prague in the frame of eighth session of the Parliamentary Assembly of NATO.
The main topics of discussion were the current processes in Georgia and Euro-Atlantic integration of the country.
"NATO integration is invariable priority of Georgia. During the next year the country will do everything to get closer to NATO in order to the progress both in this direction and in the development of the country don't stop," Saakashvili said.
In turn, NATO Secretary-General noted that in Georgia, "the process of parliamentary elections took place in a democratic and transparent form, which is of great importance for the country." He also praised the democratic transfer of power.
