Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov approved a plan of the forthcoming work on health resort system development.
The document says that it is done "to successfully implement the "National Program of Turkmenistan's socio-economic development for 2011-2030", further development of health resort system in the country, widespread use of new and effective forms of health resort and health-improving methods and services that meet relevant international standards, improve medical service quality".
Recently, Berdimuhammadov's book - "Turkmenistan - a country of healing" has been presented in Turkmenistan. The book contains information about local health resorts, where treatment is based on the healing properties of therapeutic waters and mud springs.
The local press call Bayramali nephric sanatorium in Mary region, where people take advantage of hot, dry climate, Archman in Akhal region Yili suv, where the main healing factor is the mud and mineral and thermal waters, and many others as the most famous resorts of Turkmenistan.
It is also noted that many natural health resources have not been enough studied and developed. They are some healing springs in the Parkhay town in the Balkan region, the thermal waters in Kara-Chagyl near mountain range Great Balkhan and a small hydrogen-sulphidous spring in Archabil gorge in the country's central region.
