BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 25. Azerbaijan exported 1.9 million kilograms of gold to world markets from January through August 2023, which is 22.6 percent lower than the same period last year, Trend reports.
The data from the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan shows that the value of exported gold is estimated at $76.1 million (less by 30.7 percent).
In general, the entire volume of gold exports was exported to Switzerland.
Azerbaijan exported 5,480 kg of gold to world markets (a decrease of 9.9 percent compared to 2021) in the amount of $185.2 million (a decline of 8.5 percent) in 2022.
