BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 10. Azerbaijan's income from non-oil and gas exports grew by 0.3 percent in 2024 compared to 2023, reaching $3.4 billion, Trend reports via preliminary figures from the January issue of the Export Review by the Center for Economic Reforms and Communications Analysis.
In the previous fiscal year, the exportation of food commodities experienced a significant uptick of 11.3 percent, culminating in a total valuation of $1.03 billion.
Meanwhile, exports of sugar and sugar confectionery rose by 62.4 percent, reaching $38.5 million, cotton fiber - by 45.2 percent, totaling $178.2 million, vegetable oils and fats - by 38.4 percent, totaling $28.9 million, precious metals - 29.2 percent, reaching $215.3 million, and chemical industry products - by 18.3 percent, totaling $293.7 million.
Besides, exports of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 14.3 percent, reaching $68.8 million, tea - by 1.6 percent, totaling $6 million, ferrous metals - by 1.9 percent, reaching $48.2 million, aluminum and its products -by one percent, totaling $197.2 million.
Additionally, last year, agricultural exports grew by 2.8 percent, totaling $789.4 million, while exports of agro-industrial products increased by 57.3 percent, reaching $316.1 million.
In total, the combined export of agricultural and agro-industrial products grew by 14.1 percent to $1.11 billion.
