BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, November 19. Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi to discuss political ties and the implementation of joint projects, the presidential office said, Trend reports.
Zhaparov said relations between Kyrgyzstan and China were at a "historic high", noting that Wang’s visits consistently bring substantial ideas for deepening the countries’ comprehensive strategic partnership. He highlighted progress in practical cooperation, including road and rail construction, new air routes, and a series of projects across multiple sectors.
The president also pointed to growing multilateral engagement, particularly within the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation and the 'Central Asia-China' format.
Wang conveyed greetings from Chinese President Xi Jinping and reaffirmed Beijing’s commitment to implementing agreements reached between the two leaders. He noted that his last visit to Kyrgyzstan was three years ago and praised the country’s progress since then, adding that China, “as a good neighbour and friend,” welcomed these achievements.
Wang also emphasized that Chinese companies operating in Kyrgyzstan had been instructed to strictly follow local laws and respect national traditions.
