Trend:

Iranian Parliament Research Center has predicted -2.6 percent economic growth for the country by the end of current Iranian year (March 20, 2019) while the negative growth rate would continue into next year due to drop of oil exports.

Forecasts show that Iran's economic growth in the current year will range from -5.5 percent to -2.6 percent. The expectation for next Iranian year (March 21,2019) is more optimistic, ranging from -4.5 percent to -5.5 percent, Trend reports citing Tasnim.

Following the US sanctions against Iran and foreign currency crisis, it is predicted that the country would face a situation similar to the period of 2013 sanctions that effected trade and economy.

It is assumed that in the first scenario, Iran's oil and gas condensate exports would be reduced by 800,000 bpd, and the average sale would be 1.9 million barrels per day in the current Iranian year, while next year (starts March 21, 2019) the volume would be 1 million bpd of oil and gas condensate.

The second scenario predicts the exports of oil and condensate would drop by 1.6 million barrel per day, therefore the exports volume would be 1.5 million barrels of oil and gas condensate per day in current year. This while the average oil and gas condensate exports in next year would be 900,000 bpd.
