BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 15. The trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Vietnam has doubled in the last seven years, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov said at the meeting with Vice President of Vietnam Vo Thi Anh Xuan, Trend reports citing Kazakhstan's government.
According to him, the Free Trade Agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and Vietnam (2015) has also fostered the turnover growth between the two countries.
"Meantime, we're ready to boost Kazakh exports by over $500 million for 90 goods," Smailov said.
He also raised the issue of providing Kazakhstan's citizens with visa-free entry to Vietnam, which will make a great contribution the development of ties.
Smailov underscored the significance of enhanced cooperation on agriculture, particularly on rice cultivation, for Kazakhstan.
"Scientific research and modern Vietnamese technologies for rice cultivating can be beneficial for our country," he added.
