Kazakhstan’s gas production exceeds 3.5 bcm in January

Kazakhstan's total production of gas amounted to 3.561 billion cubic meters (bcm) in January, 2012, which is almost similar to the figures of January, 2011, the Kazakh Statistics Agency dispatching management told Trend.

In January, 2012 gas production in the country increased by 3.3 percent as compared to the previous month.

The fulfillment of the indicative plan on the gas extraction in January, 2012 amounted to 99.1 percent.

Kazakhstan's domestic demand for gas amounted to 1.485 billion cubic metres in January, 2012.

The country's total demand for gas last month was 2.4 percent more than the demand of the previous month, and 7.5 percent more that in January, 2011.
