The mainline freight diesel locomotive manufactured by the Bryansk Engineering Plant (Russia) will work at Kazakhstan’s largest enterprise for iron ore extraction and concentration, Trend reports with reference to the plant.
The locomotive was already shipped to Kazakhstan to operate at Sokolov-Sarybai Mining Production Association (SSGPO) JSC, which is a part of Eurasian Resources Group (ERG).
The locomotive has the capacity to transport cargo of up to 6,400 tons in weight. Its use will allow to increase the efficiency of the railway infrastructure operation, reduce the time of cargo delivery and improve the working conditions of locomotive teams.
At the moment, locomotives of this type are widely used in Russia. The same type of locomotives is also being exported to Mongolia.
Bryansk Engineering Plant has manufactured over 450 locomotives since 2015.
