BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 19. Improved connectivity along the Middle Corridor opens up new opportunities for the private sector, the senior advisor to the company and lead consultant for CAREC, David Tsiklauri said, Trend reports.

Speaking at the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) 2025 Business Forum in Kyrgyzstan's Bishkek, he highlighted the rapid development of e-commerce in Central Asia, as well as the potential of companies that can be unlocked by improving connectivity along the Middle Corridor.

Tsiklauri also noted opportunities in agriculture and agrotechnology, focusing on how technological solutions increase productivity, sustainability, and export competitiveness in the region.

PMCG's participation in the forum confirmed its leadership in promoting trade system reforms, improving the regulatory environment, and supporting governments in optimizing regional corridors, including the Middle Corridor. PMCG also works actively with the private sector to help improve competitiveness, identify bottlenecks, ensure compliance with international standards, and improve logistics and supply chains. As the role of the Middle Corridor in Eurasian trade continues to grow, PMCG remains focused on supporting governments and businesses in opening up new opportunities and promoting sustainable economic growth in Central Asia," the statement said.

The Middle Corridor is a transport and trade route that passes through a number of countries in the region and connects Asia with Europe. It serves as an alternative to the traditional Northern and Southern corridors.

The route begins in China and passes through Central Asian countries such as Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan. It then crosses the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Türkiye, before entering Europe. The Middle Corridor is a land route that bypasses longer sea routes, connecting eastern Asia, including China, with Europe.
