TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, November 8. The World Bank (WB) has published forecasts for Uzbekistan's GDP growth in 2024–2026, Trend reports.
The bank estimates that Uzbekistan's GDP will reach 6.0 percent in 2024. This is 0.7 percentage points higher than the previous prediction. Earlier in June, the bank estimated Uzbekistan's GDP growth at 5.3 percent in 2024.
The World Bank anticipates a decrease in Uzbekistan's GDP to 5.8 percent in 2025, a decrease of 0.3 percent from the previous forecast.
Furthermore, the bank's analysts forecast that GDP growth will slightly increase to 5.9 percent in 2026. According to the previous data, the WB forecast Uzbekistan’s GDP to amount to 5.7 percent in 2026.
Meanwhile, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan projects the country’s real GDP to amount to 5.2–5.7 percent in 2024.
This is attributed to future consumer demand being more moderate due to structural changes in household and business expenditures.
