BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 30. The number of transactions made with UnionPay cards issued by resident financial institutions reached 100 by the end of April 2025, while the total volume of these transactions amounted to 50,000 manat ($29,411).
Data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan indicates that the number of UnionPay operations decreased by 100 units, or 2 times, but the volume of transactions grew by 10,000 manat ($5,882), or 25 percent, compared to the end of March 2025.
Meanwhile, the number of UnionPay card transactions in Azerbaijan stood at 200 by the end of March 2025, with a total transaction volume of 40,000 manat ($23,529).
