Azerbaijan, Baku, September 6 / Trend T. Hajiyev /

Azerbaijan has fractured opposition's participation in the parliamentary election due to the lack of political culture, the Democratic Reforms Party chairman Asim Mollazadeh told media.

"Azerbaijan is a young country. So, it begins the formation of political culture and political atmosphere. A multiparty system will be formed in Azerbaijan, as in several European countries soon," Mollazadeh said.

He said that holding of the elections under the majority system would force the party to unite.

"The reason for today's fragmentation is little or no experience," Mollazadeh said.

Azerbaijan officially kicks off the elections September 4, 2010.

Azerbaijani President Aliyev signed a decree on September 3 to hold elections to the Azerbaijani Parliament November 7, 2010

Parliamentary elections are scheduled for Nov. 7. Previous legislative elections were held in November 2005. Parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are held by the majority system in 125 electoral constituencies.
