BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 7. The number of transactions made with credit cards in Azerbaijan reached 12.5 million, with a total amount of 795 million manat ($467.6 million), in February of this year.
Data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan shows that of this amount, 120 million manat ($70.6 million) accounted for ATMs, 164 million manat ($96.5 million) for POS terminals, 488 million manat ($286.5 million) for electronic commerce, and 410,000 manat ($240,000) for self-service terminals.
Additionally, this February, the number of foreign transactions made with credit cards was 371,000, with a total volume amounting to 23 million manat ($13.5 million), of which 260,000 manat ($152,900) fell on cash withdrawals and 23 million manat ($13.5 million) on cashless payments.
